Production tracking that shows where the work really is
Ask most factories where an order is and the honest answer is a phone call. We built a work-in-progress board that answers the question on one screen, for the whole floor or for a single client.
The floor as a flow
Every production stage is a card on a board, in route order, showing how many jobs are there now, the units they carry, the average time they have waited and how many have been there over thirty days. Lines between the cards show how work actually moves.
- Flow, ageing and table views
- Totals by product line
- Filter to one client’s open work
Where work comes back
The board draws the return loops as well as the route: the stages that send work backwards for repair or rework. Those loops are where time and margin disappear, and they are invisible in a spreadsheet.
Sales can answer without calling the floor
Because production sits in the same console as sales, a salesperson can see how much of a client’s order is out, how much is ready and how long the rest has waited, while the client is still on the line.

Screens recreated with sample data. The live system holds a client’s records, so it is never shown. See every screen
Questions
Common questions
Where does the production data come from?
In the system we built it is synced from the client’s ERP, and every figure shows how fresh it is. It could equally come from scanning on the floor.
Is this only for jewellery?
No. Any process that moves batches through stages fits the same model. The stages, units and measures are built around your floor.
Can it warn us about stuck work?
Ageing is shown on every stage, including how much has waited over thirty days, so stuck work stands out instead of hiding.
